What it needs

A thin fabric. Too thick and it will be warming
A breathable fabric. Without that you have warming again
A fabric that wicks moisture away from the skin. The dryer the skin the better

Original Buff® versus High-UV Buff®

The Original Buff® is better for chill protection than the High-UV Buff®.

Should you be a big sweater I would still go with the High-UV Buff®.
